South (HireInSouth) is primarily a recruitment and talent marketplace focused on helping North American companies access affordable, high-quality talent across Latin America. Their core offering centres on sourcing, vetting and matching candidates across engineering, CX, operations, finance and back-office roles.
While they do offer Employer of Record services, EOR appears to function more as an add-on to support clients who want to hire discovered talent quickly and compliantly, rather than a full standalone global EOR or global PEO platform. By doing so, South acknowledges that finding talents is only one part of the equation but putting them on a locally compliant payroll is the final puzzle piece missing. And they’re capitalising on this.
Because South is recruitment-first-not a traditional global EOR, they operate a more regionally focused EOR service that supports employment contracts, payroll outsourcing, taxes, and statutory benefits across select LATAM markets. However, it is not fully clear to us at Employsome whether South runs its EOR services through its own local legal entities or whether it relies on third-party in-country partners, as this is not clearly disclosed on their website.
Our Personal Experience with South
For North American companies looking for an integrated talent search paired with a direct EOR solution specifically in Latin America, South offers a solid option. But organisations seeking a mature, global EOR infrastructure may find South better suited as a talent provider with EOR layered on top, rather than a pure-play EOR platform.
Having reviewed South only for a handful of countries across LATAM only, we have not yet had the chance to test them full throttle and will do so in Q1 2026.
